Justice Reform Project Cocktail
On Thursday February 1, 2024, at the Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, the Justice Reform Project organisation hosted a cocktail to drive its fundraising efforts in support of its core objectives. The purpose of the fundraising cocktail is to raise funds for three main objectives: To set up a permanent secretariat for the organisation, to overhaul the appointment mechanisms for judges in the superior courts of record and to establish a court monitoring scheme.
The event brought together, important luminaries in the society as well as esteemed members of the JRP including Mrs. Funke Adekoya, SAN, Mr. Osaro Eghobamien SAN, Mr. Demola Akinrele SAN, Dr. Babatunde Ajibade, SAN, Mr. Tunde Adejuyigbe, SAN, and many other esteemed members of JRP. Also present include the Mr Tolu Aderemi, Director, JAALS Foundation, Mr Femi Falana, SAN amongst others.
The Chief host Mr Osaro Eghobamien, SAN, charged all participants with his iconic workout where engaged in over 50 press-ups that shows his level of preparedness for the marathon
The Keynote speaker, Mr. Bismarck Rewane gave a short insight into the relationship between the economy and the absence of the rule of law.
