AcrossNigeria, hundreds of women who have survived human trafficking or completedcorrectional rehabilitation face a common challenge, the absence ofopportunity. Despite their determination to start again, many are unable toaccess the training, resources, and capital needed to earn a sustainablelivelihood. Without support, many remain vulnerable to poverty, exploitation,and social exclusion.

TheJustice Aderemi Annual Lecture Series (JAALS) Foundation believes that justiceis not only about legal outcomes, it is about restoring lives. That is why welaunched Project 250, an ambitious rehabilitation and economicempowerment initiative that will equip 250 female ex-inmates and survivors ofhuman trafficking with the skills, tools, mentorship, and financial supportthey need to build independent and dignified lives.
