Kirikiri with WIPSI
On the 18th of January 2024, JAALS Foundation partnered with the women in prison support initiative {WIPSI} whose mission is to provide support for imprisoned women in Nigeria by providing preventive, corrective and rehabilitative pro bono services to them to visit the female section of KiriKiri Prisons. JAALS Foundation is a stern advocate for justice reform in Nigeria and one way to achieve that is to advocate for the decongestion of the prisons.
During this outreach JAALS Foundation in collaboration with FIDA and other NGO supported WIPSI to provide legal clinic where some of the inmate were spoken to and credible stories will be followed up on.
